Estonia's Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (TTJA) has declared the successful acquisition of 5G licenses within the 26GHz (24.7GHz-27.1GHz) band by the country's three incumbent cellcos. These licenses, each spanning 400MHz, were initially valued at EUR 800,000 (USD 878,000) per license. Following a sole round of bidding, Elisa has committed EUR 1.626 million to secure two licenses, while Telia submitted a bid of EUR 1.602 million and Tele2 offered EUR 1.600 million.

All 3 operators are already owning 3.5 GHz spectrum assets, as well as low-band 700 MHz spectrum chunks which they acquired on auction back in 2022.
