Argentina successfully conducted its highly anticipated 5G spectrum auction on October 24th, yielding a total of USD 875.091 million from the sale of three 3.5GHz spectrum lots.

The National Communications Agency (Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones, ENACOM) revealed the winning bidders and their corresponding lots as follows:

• Lot 1: Claro Argentina secured 100MHz in the 3300MHz-3400MHz band for USD 350.052 million.
• Lot 2: Telecom Argentina acquired 100MHz in the 3400MHz-3500MHz band for USD 350.026 million.
• Lot 3a: This lot remained unsold.
• Lot 3b: Telefonica Argentina won 50MHz in the 3550MHz-3600MHz band, paying USD 175.013 million.

It is worth noting that each license obtained is valid for a period of 20 years, marking a significant step forward for the telecommunications sector of the country.
