Telecom spectrum news
The Latvian telecommunications regulatory body, the Public Utilities Commission (SPRK), has officially endorsed the outcomes of the recent auction for 5G-compatible spectrum in the 3750MHz-3800MHz range. The awarded rights for this spectrum have been granted to Tele2 Latvia and Latvijas Mobilais Telefons (LMT). Specifically, LMT secured frequencies in the 3750MHz-3775MHz band, while Tele2 obtained the 3775MHz-3800MHz block. These licenses will remain valid for a duration of 20 years, from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2043.
